Fort Wayne Community Schools is proud of the results from the 2024-25 IREAD-3 assessment, with the district achieving an 82.5% passing rate. This marks the fifth consecutive year of growth and exceeds pre-pandemic performance levels, representing sustained positive momentum in student literacy achievement.

Thanks to a generous donation from Costco and the commitment of FWCS employees to support our students, 380 backpacks will be filled with school supplies and distributed to students.

Fort Wayne Community Schools is launching Nutrislice for the 2025-26 school year. The digital platform allows families to view daily breakfast and lunch menus from any smartphone, tablet or computer.

The new school year is almost here, and Fort Wayne Community Schools is kicking it off with the annual Back-to-School Block Party.

Sixth graders entering middle school and ninth graders entering high school will participate in Transition Day from 8 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, July 29.
